Whew!

Where has the time gone? I can't believe that summer is almost over and my baby is will be starting kindergarten in two days! Emma is so excited to be continuing at Wilmington Christian this year because she will see her friends from Pre-K! We had Kindergarten orientation Thursday night where the parents can meet the teacher and go over what to expect this upcoming school year. In preparation for Tuesday, yesterday we labeled all of her school supplies as well as her book bag and lunch box! She is ready to go! I am not ready for my baby to be in school all day! It is going to be strange not having her here during the day. I will really miss my Emma but I know she will be having so much fun...she can't wait to start school this week! And I did compromise with her....she will be going half days on Fridays! :-)

Last week Emma made a huge accomplishment! She swam the entire length of the pool twice at her swim lessons (doing the back stroke and free style with no help from her instructor) and graduated to group lessons! She was so excited and I was so proud of her! She has learned so much this summer and we can't wait until next summer to start again! She only has two more lessons until we are done for the school year!

The triplets are continuing to keep me busy! We are entering into the hitting and frustration with inanimate objects phase. Their personalities are so funny to watch!

Annabanana has been playing a lot with the play kitchen. I think she is going to be a chef some day! She will stand at their kitchen for a while and arrange all the food and bring me plates of things. Her two favorite phrases are "Oh Wow!" and "Oh my!" She is our relaxed one who even in the midst of complete and total chaos will be happy and content with a pillow to put over her head to drown out the noise. We all get a good laugh out of this!

Henry or (our little Buddy) has really started talking in the last two weeks. He now will identify things in books and knows the letter A! They really know a lot more than you think they do. He is boy through and through! He loves to knock down his sister's towers or toys and loves to rough house! Although he wouldn't admit it but he likes Tinkerbell! When ever he sees her on TV he says "Oh Wow!" he also says that when we go into Lowe's! He and Anna have many a conversation usually in their own language while playing and it is so fun to see them all interact! He is definitely going to know a lot about women when he gets older!

Jill is the resident drama queen! Hee! Hee! Apparently she is like her mother......but I don't see it! :-) Mini Me is the phrase everyone uses! It will definitely be interesting to watch her grow over the next few years and see how her personality changes or if it changes. She likes structure and routine and don't even think about letting someone else sit on Mimi's lap! When Mimi is here Jill stakes her claim! She has a very special bond with my mom because when we first brought them home Jill was the "preemiest" of the three and ate very slowly so my mom was the one who spent a lot of time with her to get her to eat. Jill is already showing signs of being a very organized kid. She will start to pick up the playroom if it gets too messy! She loves her blanket and carries it around with her everywhere. She is also our resident bottomless pit! We always laugh at how much she eats (esp since she was the tiniest) because it is so much more than the other two! She could seriously eat a trucker under the table! Our little Jillybean is so special!

I am looking forward to getting into the fall routine! It has been a long summer in some ways because the triplets are all going in different directions and it gets quite overwhelming at times. I am so thankful for family and friends who help me and often pluck me out of the insanity to have a little break. They have all been teething and the girls haven't been sleeping well so there are some days like yesterday when all they do is cry and fuss that make me a bit nutso! I think it is harder now than when they were newborns because they constantly want me however they play very well independently and together which is such a blessing. I am looking forward to fall and the cooler weather so we can go outside more and get out more. It has been so great to get out more as a family and just do stuff...something as simple as walking around the mall has been so great! Now if only they would nap! :-)
